Who we are

Numscii is a boutique product design and engineering studio. Our contact details are listed at the bottom of this page.

What information we collect

We collect only the information you provide voluntarily, through our contact form and through the messages you type into our chat assistant:

• >Your name
• >Your email address
• >Your company or product name (optional)
• >Project details: project type, budget range, timeline, and your message
• >Messages you type into the chat assistant

We do not collect any information automatically beyond what our analytics service reports in aggregate (see section 4), the standard technical request logs kept by our hosting provider, and the technical data described in the Chat assistant section.

Why we collect it

We collect contact form submissions solely to respond to project inquiries. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Messages you type into the chat assistant are used solely to generate a reply to you.

Third-party services

We use three third-party services that may receive limited data:

• >Resend (resend.com): handles transactional email delivery. When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, and message are passed to Resend to deliver the email to our inbox. Resend processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not store your submission data separately from the email it generates.
• >Vercel Analytics: provides privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not build user profiles. It collects aggregate traffic signals such as page views and referrer information. No personally identifiable information is collected or shared by this service.
• >Anthropic (AI chat assistant): provides the AI model behind our chat assistant. When you use the chat, the message you type and the earlier messages of the same conversation are passed to Anthropic so that it can write a reply. Anthropic processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. See the Chat assistant section below.

Chat assistant

Our website has an AI chat assistant. When you use it, the message you type and the earlier messages of the same conversation are sent to Anthropic PBC, our AI provider, so that it can write a reply. Please do not enter sensitive personal information in the chat, such as health, financial, or government ID details.

We do not ask you to sign in to use the chat, and we do not save your conversations in a database or send them to our analytics tool. Our server only passes your message to Anthropic and returns the answer. To prevent abuse, we limit how many messages one IP address can send, and these counters are kept only briefly in server memory. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard technical request logs (such as IP address, time, and response status) for a limited period, which we use for security and to keep the service running.

To let the conversation continue while the page is open, your browser keeps a random session ID and the current conversation in sessionStorage. This is not a cookie. It stays in your browser tab and is deleted when you close the tab or select “New chat”.

Anthropic processes your messages under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can read at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not train its models on content sent through its API, and it deletes API inputs and outputs from its systems after a limited period, with exceptions such as enforcing its usage policy or complying with the law.

Data retention

Contact form submissions exist as emails in our inbox. We retain these for up to two years from the date of receipt, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. We do not maintain a separate database of submissions. We do not store chat conversations. See the Chat assistant section above.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except as described in section 4 above (Resend email delivery, Vercel Analytics, and Anthropic for the chat assistant).

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@numscii.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
